France + Associates Raise £3,346.48 to Support Local Brain Injury Survivors

We are thrilled to share some wonderful news that highlights the power of community, compassion, and partnership. Through a series of fundraising events in 2025—including their Annual Golf Day and the inspiring From House to Home Conference—France + Associates have raised an incredible £3,346.48 for Headway Huddersfield & District.

Their Managing Director, Jonathan France, recently presented the cheque to our Chairman, Adrian Hawley, joined by long‑standing members Dee and Ian Blackwell, who attended on behalf of the many families we support across Calderdale and Kirklees.

“We’re proud to back the vital work Headway does”

Speaking at the presentation, Jonathan shared why supporting Headway is so important to the team at France + Associates:

“Supporting our community is a key part of our corporate social responsibility, and we’re proud to back the vital work Headway Huddersfield does across Kirklees and the wider Huddersfield area.”

This generous donation will directly fund activities and events that bring joy, connection, and respite to people living with the long‑term effects of brain injury—and to the families and carers who walk alongside them.

What this support means to our members

Dee and Ian Blackwell, who have been part of the Headway community for many years, spoke powerfully about the difference this funding makes.

Dee shared:

“From the pleasure they will get from the things that Adrian and the committee will actually arrange—days out, trips to the zoo, to the bowling… they love things like that, don’t they? Curry nights, canal trips… and without money like that we can’t do it, so thank you.”

Ian added an important reminder about the impact on carers:

“And it is good for the carers as well, because the carers get down because of all the problems, so it’s a trip out to take you away from our problems.”

Their words capture exactly why these donations matter. They help us create moments of joy, connection, and relief—moments that can make a world of difference.

A message from our Chairman

Reflecting on the donation, Adrian said:

“Thanks to the fundraising efforts of France + Associates, especially with this cheque you have just presented, it would be amazing if we could entice more volunteers from different organisations to get involved to support our brain injury survivors across Calderdale and Kirklees—and perhaps swim, jump off something or raise some fantastic money. That would be wonderful, thank you.”
