Meet the People Behind the Work
Our committee is dedicated to helping brain injury survivors in the Kirklees and Calderdale area. Get to know the people who make Headway Huddersfield and District what it is. Our team is an unbelievable source of information and we are ready to share our events, activities, and the ways for you to get involved.
Adrian has been involved with Headway Huddersfield since 2017. There really couldn’t be a more dedicated Chairperson, and we’re so happy to have Adrian as part of the Headway Huddersfield and District team. He is head of the Court of Protection Team at Partners in Costs.
Rachel has been a truly valued member of the Headway Huddersfield and District family since 2017. Rachel is our treasurer and when she is not busy looking after our accounts she is a busy Chartered Legal Executive with Ison Harrison Solicitors.
Personable and detail-oriented, Emma is beloved by both our committee and our members. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful secretary and person on our committee. In the daytime Emma is a busy Associate in the Personal Injury Team at Stewarts Law.
Dee is a mum & carer to her youngest son who is a brain injury survivor. They turned to Headway Huddersfield & District many years ago & has never regretted it; the friendship & support they receive continues to be invaluable.
She has been a committee member for a number of years and enjoy's planning events/trips out, these enhancing the wellbeing of our members. Her reward is to see lots of happy smiling faces.
Ian is a retired British Telecom engineer and also father of a brain injury
survivor who has needed much support over the years.
He volunteer as a committee member to help support other brain injury
survivors and the forgotten people who also need help and support –
Our guru of grant applications Gill brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience of working as a speech and language therapist. Gill initiates, prepares, and promotes new programs for our staff, members, and volunteers.
Stephanie has been involved with Headway Huddersfield and district for many years including a long and valued stint of being treasurer.
We’re so happy to have Stephen as part of the Headway Huddersfield and District team. His skills in the art of design have supported the preparation of our artwork and leaflet design over the years.
Robert has been a member of Headway Huddersfield and District since its inception in 2004 and remembers the first meetings at the Methodist Mission under the chair / secretary team of Michael and Val Moore. He has been on the committee for a number of years as vice chair Member Liason Officer and salt & vinegar committee member. As we start a new decade he feels confident that we are heading in the right direction.
Margaret has been involved with Headway Huddersfield & District since her son sustained a near fatal head injury around the time Headway Huddersfield & District was set up and can say she was a foundering member. She has been a valued committee member for many years now. She is very pleased with the direction our branch is going.
