Our committee is dedicated to helping brain injury survivors in the Kirklees and Calderdale area. Get to know the people who make Headway Huddersfield and District what it is. Our team is an unbelievable source of information and we are ready to share our events, activities, and the ways for you to get involved.

Karen Scrivener-Fearn
Karen is an experienced and highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist with a special interest in neurological rehabilitation and voice therapy.
Karen has worked in the sector for more than 19 years in the management of acquired communication and swallowing disorders.

Margaret Knight
Margaret has been involved with Headway Huddersfield & District since her son sustained a near fatal head injury around the time Headway Huddersfield & District was set up and can say she was a foundering member. She has been a valued committee member for many years now. She is very pleased with the direction our branch is going.

Tara Evans
Tara is a Charities & Partnerships Coordinator at the Leeds branch of Fletchers Solicitors and is an avid supporter of Headway Huddersfield.
Tara's role allows her to nurture Fletcher's Solicitors' meaningful partnership with Headway Huddersfield, to help empower Headway members through activities, fundraising and peer support, and to drive forward the shared ethos of working together to improve the life of all those affected by a brain injury.

Lucy Wilson
Lucy is an Associate Solicitor at Leigh Day with three years’ experience in personal injury, and now works within a team that specialises in serious brain injury cases. She's passionate about supporting those affected by brain injury, both in her legal work and through volunteering with Headway Huddersfield. She believes no one should face brain injury alone, and she's proud to be part of Headway Huddersfield, promoting connection, independence, and meaningful support for our service members, their family and carers.

Brionie Cook-Scowen
Brionie is a Business Development Manager at Corpore Case Management with 15 years’ experience in the personal injury sector. She’s passionate about helping people with brain injuries live as full and independent a life as possible, and is proud to support Headway’s work.
