Join Us: Help Shape the Future of Headway Huddersfield & District
As Headway Huddersfield & District continues its journey toward becoming an independent Headway Charity, we are beginning the important work of building a strong and diverse foundation for our future governance. A key part of this is identifying people who may be interested in joining our Board of Trustees in 2027.
Our mission is to support brain injury survivors, families and carers across Calderdale and Kirklees — and the more skills, experience and perspectives we have within our leadership, the stronger and more effective our support can be.
Who We’re Looking For
We are keen to hear from individuals with experience in:
Healthcare and General Practice
Neurology and neuro‑rehabilitation
Occupational Therapy
Case management and care
Retail or community service leadership
Fundraising and income generation
IT and digital systems
Rehabilitation and allied health professions
Whether your background is clinical, community‑based, technical or organisational, your expertise could play a vital role in shaping the future of our charity.
Why Join Us?
Becoming a trustee is an opportunity to:
Support people living with the long‑term impact of an ABI or TBI
Strengthen local services and community connections
Help guide our transition into a fully registered charity
Contribute your skills to a growing, volunteer‑led organisation
Make a meaningful difference across Calderdale and Kirklees
Our committee is built on collaboration, compassion and a shared commitment to improving lives. By expanding our board with a wider range of professional skills, we can continue to grow our impact and ensure that every brain injury survivor receives the support they deserve.
