2026 AGM Notice

The annual general meeting (AGM) of Headway Huddersfield and District is scheduled for Wednesday, 1st April 2026, at 7 pm. This important event will take place at Lindley Methodist Church, East Street, Lindley, Huddersfield, HD3 3ND. It offers a valuable opportunity for members, supporters, and anyone interested in the work of Headway Huddersfield & District to come together, review the past year, and plan for the future.

Whether you are a long-standing member or considering getting involved for the first time, this meeting is a chance to hear about the organisation’s progress, meet the committee, and contribute your voice to the decisions that shape the group.

What to Expect at the AGM

The AGM will follow a structured agenda designed to cover all key aspects of the organisation’s activities and governance. The main points on the agenda include:

  • Welcome and apologies

The meeting will start with a warm welcome to all attendees and note any apologies from members unable to attend.

  • Review of minutes from the previous meeting

Members will review and agree on the minutes from the last AGM. This step ensures transparency and allows for any matters arising to be addressed.

  • Reports and accounts

The financial accounts for the year ending soon will be presented. Alongside this, the Chair and Treasurer will deliver their reports, summarising the committee’s work and financial health.

  • Vote of thanks for retiring committee members

The meeting will formally recognise and thank those committee members who are stepping down for their service and dedication.

  • Appointment of the committee and honorary officers

New committee members will be appointed, and roles such as Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary will be assigned. This is a crucial part of the meeting as it shapes the leadership for the coming year.

  • Any other business

This section allows members to raise additional topics or questions not covered in the formal agenda.

Why Your Attendance Matters

The AGM is more than a formality. It is a chance to:

  • Stay informed about the organisation’s achievements and challenges.

  • Have your say in decisions that affect the future direction of Headway Huddersfield & District.

  • Support the committee by showing your engagement and commitment.

  • Network with others who share an interest in brain injury support and rehabilitation.

Your participation helps ensure that the organisation remains responsive to the needs of its members and the wider community it serves.
