October Drop-In: Shared Stories, Shared Supper
On Wednesday 1st October, we gathered once again at Lindley Methodist Church for our monthly drop-in — a space where conversation flows as freely as the tea, and connections are made over shared experiences and shared plates.
This month’s session had a special flavour, quite literally! Thanks our Study Day in Halifax earlier that day, we were able to enjoy the leftover buffet — a delicious spread that brought smiles and second helpings.
We were delighted to welcome Deborah from Healthwatch Kirklees and Calderdale as our guest speaker. Deborah introduced the vital work Healthwatch does in gathering feedback from people who use health and social care services. Whether it’s a GP visit, hospital stay, or support from social services, Healthwatch ensures that voices are heard and experiences are used to shape better care. Her insights sparked thoughtful discussion, and several attendees shared their own stories — a powerful reminder of why these drop-ins matter.
As always, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of purpose. We’re proud to offer this monthly space for survivors, families, carers, and professionals to connect, reflect, and recharge.
🗓️ Next Drop-In: Wednesday 5th November 2025, 7pm–9pm
Join us back at Lindley Methodist Church for another evening of conversation, community, and support. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time, you’ll be met with a smile and a seat at the table. Visit our events page to RSVP for our November drop in.
