🎬 March Outing: A Movie Afternoon with a Twist

Our 3rd Wednesday outing for March 2026 didn’t go quite as originally planned — but in true Headway Huddersfield & District style, a last‑minute challenge turned into a brilliant afternoon together.

🌟 A Change of Plan… and a Quick Pivot

We had arranged a private, accessible-friendly cinema screening in Huddersfield Town Centre, complete with lower volume and brighter lighting to ensure everyone felt comfortable. Unfortunately, just as we were getting ready, we discovered we’d been double‑booked.

Rather than let the day slip away, we reached out to our friends at Simply Moving and Sleeping in Elland, who immediately stepped in to help. Their team kindly offered us the use of their spacious conference and display room — a perfect alternative venue that allowed us to keep the outing on track.

🍿 Popcorn, Sweets, and a Big Screen

With the room set up and a mountain of popcorn and sweets ready to go, our members settled in for an afternoon film on the large TV screen. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and full of the usual Headway warmth.

It wasn’t the cinema we’d planned — but it had all the ingredients that matter most: good company, plenty of treats, and a shared experience that brought everyone together.
