🎶 From Beats to Brains: Announcing Dr Penny Trayner as Keynote Speaker at Our 2nd Annual Study Day

We’re thrilled to announce that Dr Penny Trayner will be joining us as keynote speaker at the 2nd Headway Huddersfield & District Study Day, taking place on Wednesday 1st October 2025, from 12 noon to 5pm at the Calderdale Music Venue in Halifax.

This year’s theme, “Passion and Purpose: Crafting a New Path After Brain Injury,” invites us to explore how creativity, identity, and innovation can shape recovery journeys. Dr Trayner’s keynote, “From Beats to Brains: Using DJing and Electronic Music to Transform Neurorehabilitation,” promises to be a powerful exploration of how music can reconnect, rewire, and reimagine life after brain injury.

Dr Trayner is known for her pioneering work in neuropsychology and her commitment to person-centred rehabilitation. Her approach blends clinical insight with creative expression—offering new ways to engage survivors in meaningful, motivating therapy.

Whether you're a professional working in brain injury rehabilitation, a carer, a survivor, or simply curious about the intersection of neuroscience and creativity, this event offers a unique opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired.

🎟️ Tickets are just £35, which includes a buffet lunch generously sponsored by SP Therapy Services. Expect a vibrant afternoon of learning, discussion, and community spirit.

Let’s come together to celebrate innovation, resilience, and the power of purpose.
