🚶‍♀️🌊 Coast2Coast for a Cause: Join SP Therapy’s Virtual Challenge This September!

Get your trainers on and your step counters ready — the Virtual Coast2Coast Challenge is back, and Headway Huddersfield & District is proud to be part of it!

This September, SP Therapy Services invites you to move with purpose in the 2025 edition of their inspiring Virtual Coast2Coast Challenge — a month-long fundraising event supporting four incredible Headway charities: Headway Salford, Headway Stockport, Headway Huddersfield, and Headway Rotherham.

🗺️ What’s the Challenge All About?

The goal? To collectively travel the iconic Coast to Coast route — that’s 192 miles or over 440,000 steps — without ever leaving your local area.

Whether you walk, wheel, swim, cycle, dance, or garden, every movement counts. Your activity will be converted into steps and added to the grand total as we journey (virtually!) across England together.

It’s inclusive, it’s energising, and it’s a brilliant way to support brain injury survivors while staying active.

💙 Why It Matters

This challenge isn’t just about fitness — it’s about hope, recovery, and community.

Motivating recovery: Many of our members use this challenge to set personal goals, try new activities, and celebrate progress.
Raising awareness: Brain injury can change lives in an instant. Coast2Coast shines a light on the resilience and determination of survivors and their families.
Supporting local services: Every donation is split equally between the four Headway groups, helping us continue to provide vital support, advocacy, and rehabilitation resources.

Led by the passionate team at SP Therapy Services, the challenge brings together patients, families, support workers, and community champions from across the region. Each week in September, we’ll spotlight different parts of the route — and the incredible people powering our progress.
