About the Event

Archery Taster Session with the Valley Bowmen – Indoor Arena

We’re excited to invite members to a special Archery Taster Session hosted by the Valley Bowmen of Huddersfield. This session will take place in their indoor arena, offering a safe, supportive environment for all abilities — including those trying archery for the very first time.

Archery is more than a sport; it offers meaningful physical, cognitive, and emotional benefits for people rebuilding life after brain injury.

Why Archery Helps

  • Mental Focus & Escape   The concentration needed to aim and release each arrow helps quiet intrusive thoughts, reduce stress, and provide a welcome break from chronic pain or post‑concussion symptoms.

  • Balance & Coordination   Archery is a controlled, static activity that encourages postural stability, core strength, and upper‑limb coordination — gently challenging and retraining vestibular and motor functions.
